You Can't Enter Paradise by Paying a Cheap Price

The notions which make Muslims believe that Paradise is guaranteed for them are false beliefs. Such notions have nothing to do with entry to Paradise. The hadith says: أَلاَ إِنَّ سِلْعَةَ اللهِ غَالِيَةٌ، أَلاَ إِنَّ سِلْعَةَ اللهِ الجَنَّةُ (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 2450) You will get entry in Paradise only at a very heavy price, not at a cheap price. The notions Muslims have are false beliefs.

When I used to live in Old Delhi, a Muslim came to my office late in the night. He said: Today I had a realization and thought of sharing it with you. The great favour God has bestowed upon me is to give me birth in a Muslim family. This has guaranteed Paradise for me. This is the case of all Muslims. Muslims believe that if they were born in a Muslim family, adopt the Muslim culture by wearing particular kind of clothes, having a certain appearance, associate themselves with some venerated persons, visit shrines, be part of a religious organization, recite some words of prayer, then Paradise would be guaranteed for them. This is an underestimation of Paradise.  If some people go to a market to buy a Mercedes. But one of them has only Rupees 5 in his pocket, another has Rupees 10 and yet another has only Rupees 15, you will tell these people: You are underestimating a Mercedes. It can't be bought for Rupees 5 or 10! In this age, a good car costs at least Rupees 1 crore, while you all want to buy a good car only in Rupees 5 or 10! This is the condition of Muslims. They have totally underestimated Paradise. Some people believe that offering supplication prayers would surely make them deserving of Paradise. But this is quite ridiculous. The hadith says: مَا رَأَيْتُ مِثْلَ النَّارِ نَامَ هَارِبُهَا، وَلاَ مِثْلَ الجَنَّةِ نَامَ طَالِبُهَا (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 2601) This means that Paradise is so valuable and so precious, yet people are lying asleep. Nobody is truly desirous of Paradise. No one truly seeks Paradise. This hadith is applicable to both those who believe in the concept of right here, right now and also those who have underestimated Paradise.
